Mensch ärgere Dich nicht was designed in a small Munich workshop by the entrepreneur Josef Friedrich Schmidt (*24.11.1871 - †28.11.1949). It is considered the most famous board game in Germany. Josef Friedrich Schmidt has founded the Schmidt Spiele GmbH, which today boasts an annual turnover of EUR 50 million. Mensch ärgere Dich nicht is a descendent from the famous Indian game Pachisi, even though its rules and gameplay are much less sophisticated
